Your eyesight is one of your most important senses. Poor eye sight can be caused by a number of problems be it a change in spectacle prescription to potentially more serious eye conditions such as glaucoma. Many of these conditions, such as glaucoma are painless and slow developing. This means regular eye examinations are of huge importance in detection and early treatment. Our optometrists thoroughly examine your eyes on every visit. We are especially proud of the equipment which we use in our practice. Our opticians practice has, among other more standard equipment, a digital retinal camera. Having retinal photography performed ensures a much more thorough examination with which we can monitor your eye health over many years to come. You may be entitled to a free NHS eye examination. To check your eligibility please click here Children’s Eye Examinations It is essential for children to have regular eye examinations with their opticians to ensure normal development of their eyes and vision. Our optometrists recommend a full eye test before primary school and yearly thereafter. All children’s eye examinations are covered by the NHS. Our opticians practice stocks a wide variety of children’s and teenagers spectacle frames. These include free NHS voucher frames to fashionable high street names.
